The name
People often call and ask for Tyler. There is no Tyler. The name is a family one — it comes from Mark's own middle name, and the company has carried it since the beginning. When you call, you get Mark.
The work
Mark has been building for forty-five years and has been working in Orange County since 1992. Most of that time has gone into commercial interiors: steel and wood stud framing, drywall, suspended ceilings, doors and hardware, and the accessibility corrections that plan check and CASp reports call for. The residential side — kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets — runs on the same skills and the same standards.
Today the business is a sole proprietorship. That is deliberate. It means one person walks the job, prices it, schedules it, and stands behind it, rather than a salesperson handing you off to whoever is free that week.
How he works
One job at a time, wherever possible. Phone answered personally, seven days a week from nine to four. Estimates written by line item, so you can see what each piece costs and decide what to phase. On occupied buildings, work staged around your tenants and your hours rather than the other way around.
